The Knight Ruler is no more...

Dear Readers, with the deepest sorrow I have ever felt, I write this post announcing the demise of my father Vivek Phadkule a.k.a. The Knight Ruler.

His death was the most shocking and cruel event in my life. It was by an unfortunate massive heart attack while he was teaching at 12:15 pm on Tuesday 18th Jan – just two days after his 49th birthday on 16th Jan. Everything was normal that day; he had no previous history of any kind of heart disease.

My father loved teaching and he was a favorite among the students. Hundreds of students paid tribute to him on the horrific day. His death is a great loss to the student community and the teaching field. He was also an amazing speaker and could talk on any topic in such a way that people would be spellbound. His unorthodox way of doing things used to amaze everyone.

He was a man of straight forward principles and always stood by the Truth. He really lived life king size just as his slogan on the blog says, enjoying every moment of life, never fearing death. We will miss him each and every moment, but his own teachings will make us strong. May his soul rest in peace.

  5. Dear Sagar,
I cant believe what you said. I dont know what to say. He was a good gentleman and his knowledge about horse racing was better than us. I was also one of his follower and vice versa. May his Soul rest in peace ! I convey my heart-felt condolence to you and all of his family members and may The God Almighty give you the power of strength to withstand cyclone hit on your family.

My simple advise. Dont choose Horse racing ever even as a passion, and never betting on horses.
